Community Peer Support (CPS) is a program which was created for individuals who are unable to attend one of our Peer Support Centres due to geographical barriers, transportation barriers, or those whose recovery is better addressed through one-one community support.
Referrals are required. These can be self-referrals or agency referrals, but the individual seeking CPS must be willing and committed to receive the service. Recovery choices belong to the individual. There are currently wait times for this program, Virtual Peer Support is a viable interim option for some, or our Peer Support Centres.
CPS takes place in a community environment, our Peer Support Workers meet weekly with a Peer for an hour to provide Intentional Peer Support.
